Yes. All five of the talks as well as the panel Q&A discussion will be posted a number of days after the conference to FORMED, where you can view any missed content or rewatch your favorite speakers.
While all of our speakers are accomplished in their respective fields and teach at the graduate level, the aim of these conferences is to make the riches of the Holy Scriptures and the Catholic faith available to anyone who is interested in delving deep and learning more. Consider the testimony of two previous Augustine Institute Bible Conference attendees, who remarked:
“I appreciate how three biblical scholars speak on a level that is understandable for the lay-person without a Ph.D.”
“The lecture was at a perfect level for me to understand. I just loved getting to read the Scripture and then listen as it was unpacked.”
Absolutely. This is now the fourth online Bible Conference we have been able to offer for free to attendees around the globe, thanks to the continued generosity of our Mission Circle. We plan to continue bringing you more great conferences like these in the months and years ahead.
Stay tuned as we approach the Lenten season early next year for information about our next Bible Conference!
While there are a host of English translations of the Bible, the English Standard Version® Catholic Edition (ESV-CE) is the primary biblical text that will be used by our conference speakers. This esteemed translation is noteworthy both for its fidelity to the meaning of the original Hebrew and Greek as well as the beauty of its language. Learn more about the ESV-CE at CatholicBible.org.
Following are other translations that our speakers have referenced in the past:
New American Bible, Revised Edition (NABRE)
Revised Standard Version, Second Catholic Edition (RSV-2CE)
New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
