This is my first time visiting the Augustine Institute. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the presentations! Each presenter clearly loves their faith and has been chosen by God to evangelize in this special way. God bless!
“I love the Augustine Institute’s Bible Conference. It has helped me grow in my knowledge of scripture and Church teaching.”
These conferences serve as refreshers, reminders, and encouragement of our faith. We need these for continual growth!
Love the Augustine Institute in all their platforms. I have been blessed to be present at Dr. Gray’s talks too. The approach and style of your evangelization based on word and tradition without judging anyone is refreshing.
The three speakers were very informative and gave me a deeper knowledge of my Catholic faith… God bless you all!
As a convert, I feel blessed to receive such clear and joyful teaching from faith-filled presenters while sitting in my own home. I would like my family and friends to have the same opportunity for enlightenment and illumination.
Excellent and erudite teaching of the Word to show the depth and wisdom of God’s love for us in sending his Son.
The talks were absolutely enlightening for my soul and heart!

This Bible Conference is brought to you by generous donors who support the Augustine Institute mission.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I might have to miss a portion of the conference; will recordings of the talks be available for replay afterwards?

Yes. All five of the talks as well as the panel Q&A discussion will be posted a number of days after the conference to FORMED, where you can view any missed content or rewatch your favorite speakers.

I have never studied theology or the Bible. Will I be able to understand the speakers or will the talks be over my head?

While all of our speakers are accomplished in their respective fields and teach at the graduate level, the aim of these conferences is to make the riches of the Holy Scriptures and the Catholic faith available to anyone who is interested in delving deep and learning more. Consider the testimony of two previous Augustine Institute Bible Conference attendees, who remarked:

“I appreciate how three biblical scholars speak on a level that is understandable for the lay-person without a Ph.D.”

“The lecture was at a perfect level for me to understand. I just loved getting to read the Scripture and then listen as it was unpacked.”

Will the Augustine Institute be hosting other Bible Conferences in the future?

Absolutely. This is now the fourth online Bible Conference we have been able to offer for free to attendees around the globe, thanks to the continued generosity of our Mission Circle. We plan to continue bringing you more great conferences like these in the months and years ahead.

Stay tuned as we approach the Lenten season early next year for information about our next Bible Conference!

I can’t keep all these different translations of the Bible straight. Can you please explain the difference?

While there are a host of English translations of the Bible, the English Standard Version® Catholic Edition (ESV-CE) is the primary biblical text that will be used by our conference speakers. This esteemed translation is noteworthy both for its fidelity to the meaning of the original Hebrew and Greek as well as the beauty of its language. Learn more about the ESV-CE at CatholicBible.org.

Following are other translations that our speakers have referenced in the past:

New American Bible, Revised Edition (NABRE)
Revised Standard Version, Second Catholic Edition (RSV-2CE)
New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

I really enjoy the AI Bible Conference talks and I’m looking to dig deeper into my understanding of the Scriptures. What should I do next?

The Augustine Institute is committed to helping Catholics at any stage of their walk with Christ to better understand, live, and share their faith. For those who want to take a deep dive into the riches of Sacred Scripture, consider the Augustine Institute Short Courses.
